I am a sized 10E in a Red Wing work boot. I ordered this skate boot in a 10 D/B. It is a perfect fit for skating. You want the boot snug, but I DID NOT go down a number size as Riedell suggested due to my E width. I built the skate with Labeda Proline plate, and Faster multi-component wheels. I chose Bont Swiss 608 bearings. Skated one session, and then took apart to heat mold. Skated another session, and was getting rubbed in the arch of my right foot. Did the heat mold of that boot over, and now the boots fit like a second skin. I used a fan-bake convection toaster oven at 200 for 8-minutes, and laced TIGHT to foot for 5 minutes. Removed boot, and laces. Laced normal, and put back on foot for 2 minutes. I firmly believe I have the best pair of skates money can buy. These boots feel broke-in right out of the box. You may, or may-not need to heat mold.
