Good bearing for the price. Bones makes quality bearings and these will definitely get the job done. I kind of wish the red shield was a little stronger as it doesn''t take much for them to interfere with the bearings, but overall at that price these are definitely a good choice.

These bearings are a great starter bearing that a gal won''t outgrow to fast! They also look FANTASTIC in my clear outdoor wheels. For the money, you can''t beat REDS

I had my original bearing from my fresh meat skates and I noticed my wheels would get tripped up for no reason. Well it was my bearings. For the price these bearings are great. It makes such a difference to have clean new bearings. It's just smoother, less work, you just keep on going like the energizer bunny.

I skate tech for my wife's whole Derby team, so I've cleaned way more bearings than I should ever admit to. And the Reds are definitely the most common/popular bearing among them, and with good reason. For as affordable as they are, they clean up really nice and are a radical improvement over the stock bearings in most sets of skates. And if maintained properly, last a very long time. That being said, I have on occasion run into some manufacturing inconsistencies in these. Not in the bearings, races or cages, fortunately, but in the shields. Usually when you do find a set with an issue, it's usually one or two shields that the rubber is over-injected onto the metal shield, and create a bunch of drag on that bearing. But I had one set from one of our skaters that had 10 bad shields on a set of 16. Somebody in the Bones plant was definitely having a bad day. Fortunately, Bones is the only bearing manufacturer that I know of that sells replacement parts for their bearings, and they are very reasonably priced as well. (You can even get them here! hint!) Once replaced with better ones, her bearings were smoother than Carlos Santana. The shield issue is the only thing keeping this from being a 5 star rating
